About Michael
Michael Williams is an independent fiction author whose work ranges from the espionage and action of the Sophia Evans Thriller Series to the quieter, more reflective stories of Ripple Effects. Rather than staying inside a single genre, he writes about the characters, situations, and ideas that capture his interest—and lets each project find the tone that suits it.
Across those different stories, Michael keeps returning to the people left standing after something important happens. Loyalty, grief, purpose, difficult choices, and the consequences of those choices have become recurring threads in his work, whether the setting is an intelligence operation or an ordinary life suddenly changed by one moment.
Alongside his written fiction, Michael has begun expanding his stories through cinematic companion projects—book promos, character files, prequel scenes, and narrated visual adaptations. The format may change, but the goal stays the same: build a world worth entering and give readers characters worth following.
The Work
Michael’s work ranges from espionage, terrorism, intelligence operations, and military action to stories about grief, purpose, loyalty, connection, and the choices people carry after the immediate crisis has passed. The goal is not to force every project into the same genre. It is to give each story the tone it needs while keeping the characters at the center.
The Worlds
Featured Universe
CIA officers, FBI investigators, intelligence assets, special operators, and adversaries collide in an expanding espionage series built around missions that leave permanent consequences.
Short Fiction
Quieter stories about grief, kindness, purpose, family, connection, and the ripple effects people leave behind. Some of these stories have also been adapted into narrated cinematic episodes.

New to the Novels?
The Sophia Evans universe begins with the attack that brings a veteran FBI investigator and a CIA officer with something to prove into the same hunt. It is the cleanest entry point into the series and the characters who will continue through the books that follow.
Why These Stories?
The explosion. The mission. The betrayal. The loss. Those moments create the crisis, but they are rarely the end of the story.
Who carries the blame? Who stays? Who walks away? Who becomes stronger—and who becomes someone they never expected to be?
Those questions appear throughout Michael’s work whether the story is a geopolitical thriller or a short piece about an ordinary person facing an extraordinary moment. The genre can change. The interest in people living with their choices does not.
Beyond the Page
Michael has increasingly expanded his fictional worlds through cinematic companion projects, including book promos, character dossiers, prequel scenes, and narrated visual adaptations. These projects are designed to complement the written stories rather than replace them—another way to step inside the characters and moments that exist beyond the page.
